Gardenia is a genus of flowering plants in the coffee family, Rubiaceae, native to the tropical and sub tropical regions of Africa, Asia Madagascar, and Pacific Islands.

About gardenia:

Gardenia is a popular house plant, the terrace garden makes it attractive. The creamy white flowers, a special fragrance like mass in their gardens, especially in the south. Gardenia plant is popular in cold weather. Gardenia evergreen shrubs from 1 to 15 meters tall. Its dark green leaves are glossy and a leathery texture.

The flowers are solitary or in small clusters, white or yellow colors bloom. The flowers bloom between mid-spring to mid-summer. Many of its species are strongly scented. Sun or semi-shade tolerant, adaptable gardenia bushes, which survive completely well-drained and well in acidic soil. Fall or spring is the best time for planting in warm weather. Place in light to moderate shade. Use plenty fertilizer for the Acid loving plant.
