Indira Kantola (RMF 37) Hybrid variety is a new commercial variety of Kantola which has been developed by the Indira Gandhi Agriculture University. This variety is mostly cultivated in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Orissa. This excellent variety is mostly resistance-free.

For the summer harvest, in the tropical climate, spine gourd is sown from January to February. And for the monsoon crop, it is sown in the month of July.
