Growing Petunia from seeds
- Growing Petunia plants from seeds is a straightforward process. You can start the seeds 10 to 12 weeks before early spring in northern climates, usually around March.
- The small seeds require ample light for germination. Once the plant has three leaves, you can water it and transfer it outside.

How to Grow Petunias
Soil
Petunias thrive in well-drained soil that doesn’t have to be overly rich. Enhance garden soil with organic materials like peat moss and compost. They require 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight for abundant blooming, although they can tolerate some shade, resulting in fewer flowers.
Watering
Check the soil in the container every day. Fully soak the soil and then let it dry before adding more water. If the soil is already moist, do not water it as it may lead to issues like rot and mildew. Also, remember to water the base of the plant to keep the leaves dry and prevent excess moisture.
Fertilizer

Growing petunia in a container
